The Empty Boat and Other Adventures

"The Empty Boat", an OSHO Meditation event, with Bodhi Anveshi and Dhyan Tara, brought together 27 people from various parts of Malaysia and Singapore.

Bodhi Anveshi from Malaysia organized the full-day event which took place on Sunday, 19 February 2006, in the small town of Muar, in Malaysia.

It was a resounding celebration filled with much love and laughter!

We had silent sitting and listening, as well as lots of dancing and wonderful music from the world of OSHO.

For our Singapore participants, the journey to Muar was an adventure in itself!

Our group from Singapore got a small taste of danger and the unknown, as we traveled from Singapore to the Larkin bus terminal on Saturday evening. We had to be in Larkin by 8pm, to catch one of several buses to Muar.

As it turned out, we found ourselves caught in the middle of the weekend rush into Malaysia. We got stuck in terrible traffic, and so we missed the last bus to Muar by mere minutes.

Dhyan Tara from OSHO Information Center Singapore, who managed to get in ahead of us, even tried to persuade the bus driver to wait while we rushed to buy tickets. But the stern driver chose to ignore her irresistible charms and promptly drove off without us!

Despite the travel setbacks, all of us who journeyed from Singapore refused to turn back and eventually found our way to the event!

Some stayed on in Muar for a few more days and visited the waterfalls at Gunung Ledang. Perhaps we can have the next celebration by the idyllic waterfalls!
