The OSHO Active Meditation Intensive in December 2005 was one of our favourite events of the year. The intensive took place at La Vida Loft, a cool funky lifestyle studio sandwiched between rows of quaint pre-war architecture town houses along Telok Ayer Street, just on the fringe of Chinatown and the Central Business District of Tanjong Pagar.
In recent years, the restored town house units have become the premises trendy cabarets, bars and pubs, as well as intimate restuarrants, art galleries, gay saunas and scores of yoga studios, wellness spas and beauty parlours.
The Singapore OSHO community loves La Vida Loft for its cave-like atmosphere. The solid concrete floors covered with Hyacinth straw mats and 100% sound-proof walls permit us to go full force at the second stage of Dynamic Meditation. The studio provides luxurious 6mm thick yoga mats, which take some of the impact off our precious knees during jumps. 
La Vida Loft is located opposite a famous Singapore landmark --the Thian Hock Kian Chinese Temple (Temple Of Heavenly Happiness). Despite this prominent landmark, if one in not familiar with the area, the studio can be difficult to locate. Many of our group have lost their way while trying to find the place. But getting lost and finding your way to the studio is half the adventure! Besides... treasures are never easy to find! Note: La Vida Loft has moved out of Telok Ayer Street. The new premise is at Red Dot Traffic Building, the bright red building located on Maxwell Road. Hopefully nobody will get lost from now on! Just look out for the RED building! Photos by Dhyan Tara
