Talk on Meditation at Library
24 November 2007 -- Dhyan Tara from OSHO Information Center Singapore gave two public talks at Library@Orchard, on two successive Friday evenings.
The first talk, which took place on 16 November, was titled OSHO Active Meditation for Emotional Fitness and Wellbeing. Participants were invited to learn step-by-step awareness techniques and other group interactivities to help them become more present and attuned to the self and others.
The aim of the talk was to show how OSHO Active Meditation can help you find your centre of calm - the eye of the storm, and return to a state of relaxation and confidence.
The topic for the second talk on 23 November was One Universe, One Heartbeat - Meditations From Around The World.
It presented an overview of 6 meditation methods - Tibetan Humming Meditation from the Himalayas, Sufi Whirling Meditation from the exotic Middle East, Japanese Zen Meditation, Didgeridoo Meditation from the Australian Aboriginals, Vipassana and of course, meditations from the World of Osho.
The audience was a good mix -- some were familiar with OSHO Active Mediations, others were new to it. Still, both talks were well received, with active participation from the audience. The group discussions and Question and Answer sessions at the end were lively and engaging.
